ONE-LAP PENALTY FOR SELIÖ LIFTS JELF ON TO THE SPRINT RACE ONE PODIUM IN SHARJAH
Saturday, December 7: The Red Devil-SMC F1 Team’s Sami Seliö was hit with a one-lap penalty after the opening Sprint race at the Road to Sharjah-Grand Prix of Sharjah on Saturday evening.
That penalty for not maintaining his lane at the start of the 16-lap race cost the Finn his third place behind Erik Stark and Peter Morin and lifted the F1 Atlantic Team’s Ben Jelf on to the Sprint podium for the second time this season.
The Sharjah Team’s Filip Roms and Morin’s team-mate Brent Dillard climbed to fourth and fifth with Maverick Racing’s Cédric Deguisne and Team Vietnam’s Kalle Viippo also moving ahead of Seliö.
