AMERICAN FEMALE RIDER TONYA COLSON TO
TAKE PART IN QATAR INTERNATIONAL BAJA

· Colson starts as part of UAE-based Sandstorm team

DOHA (Qatar): Dubai-based American Tonya Colson is flying the female flag at this weekend’s Qatar International Baja, which starts from the Sealine Beach Resort, near Mesaieed, on Friday afternoon (tomorrow).

Colson is the only female participant in this year’s Qatar International Baja and will ride a KTM 450 EXC in the 450cc motorcycle class. A freelance photographer, who originally hails from Hood River in Oregon and who studied at Oregon State University, Colson will be competing in a motor sport event in Qatar for the first time and arrived in Doha this morning.

She will form part of a four-bike Sandstorm team from the United Arab Emirates, alongside the promising British rider Sam Sunderland, Emirati Khalid Al-Falasi and Australia’s Justin Taylor.
