JORDAN MOTORSPORT PUTS FINISHING TOUCHES TO CHALLENGING ROUTE FOR FORTHCOMING ROUND OF FIA AND FIM WORLD BAJA CUPS

AMMAN (JORDAN): Jordan Motorsport is putting the final touches to an exciting and challenging route for the Jordan Baja, the seventh and penultimate round of both the FIA World Baja Cup and the FIM Bajas World Cup and round three of the FIA Middle East Cup. The event will run out of Aqaba from November 14th-16th.

Speaking after the conclusion of the sixth round of the FIA World Baja Cup in Qatar, Zaid Balqez, Chairman of the Organising Committee, said: “We are really looking forward to hosting the Jordan Baja for November 14-16 with the finishing touches being put to what we expect to be an extremely challenging route.

“We place the safety of our competitors and visitors to the heart of everything we do and we can’t wait to welcome back our friends from the FIA World Baja Cup and the FIM Bajas World Cup.”

Both the FIA and FIM series are fought out over eight rounds and the Middle East will decide the outcome of both championships with drivers and riders now preparing to head to the final two rounds in Jordan and Dubai. The FIA Middle East Baja Cup is fought out over four rounds.

The Hashemite Kingdom’s premier off-road event will use challenging desert terrain in the world-renowned Wadi Rum in southern Jordan.

Entries for the event close on Wednesday, November 6th.

Jordan Motorsport is relishing the prospect of hosting FIA competitors in the flagship Ultimate, Challenger and SSV categories vying for championship honours in tandem with motorcyclists and quad riders competing for overall, Junior, Veteran and Ladies honours in the FIM Bajas World Cup.

Based out of the Hyatt Regency Aqaba Ayla Resort, competitors are set for a challenging 566.46 competitive kilometres that include a two-kilometre Prologue in Aqaba and then two stages of 349.14km and 214.32km through the nearby deserts.
