AQUABIKE PROMOTION OPENS 2025/26 REGISTRATIONS EARLY TO CATER FOR DEMAND AS COUNTDOWN BEGINS TO NOVEMBER’S LAKE TOBA FINALE
Tuesday, October 22 Due to overwhelming interest and a number of requests across the various racing disciplines in the UIM-ABP Aquabike Circuit Pro World Championship, Aquabike Promotion has decided to open registrations early for becoming an official aquabike rider for the 2025 and 2026 championships.
This news comes as the excitement begins to ramp up in advance of the final round of the UIM-ABP Circuit Pro World Championships on November 16th and 17th and the Aquabike Endurance World Championship on November 13th-15th on Indonesia’s spectacular Lake Toba.
With the rapid growth seen in the sport in recent months and significant changes coming in the future, riders are advised to register their intention of competing across the various racing disciplines sooner rather than later.
It’s now less than a month before Endurance riders from Europe, the USA, New Zealand, Australia and Asia will compete for the Karo Cup over two heats from the village of stunning Sumatran village of Tongging on November 13th and then move on to the towns of Silalahi and Parapat to race for the Dairi and Simalungun Cups on November 14th and 15th.
The world’s finest riders in the Runabout GP1, Ski Division GP1, Ski Ladies GP1 and Freestyle categories will then take centre stage on November 16th and 17th for their final Motos of the season to decide the UIM-ABP Aquabike Circuit Pro World Championship.
Samuel Johansson currently has a slender three-point cushion over the defending World Champion François Medori in Runabout GP1 and the Belgian bomber Quinten Bossche has earned himself a 24-point lead over Austrian Kevin Reiterer in Ski Division GP1.
Jasmiin Ypraus heads to Indonesia with a miniscule one-point lead over Estelle Poret in Ski Ladies GP1 and Team Abu Dhabi’s Rashed Al-Mulla will lock horns with the defending World Champion Roberto Mariani in Freestyle. They are separated by just six points with two Motos remaining on Lake Toba.
