SUNDAY MORNING’S FREE PRACTICE PAVES THE WAY FOR A THRILLING AFTERNOON FINALE 

Sunday, June 23: Several competitors in the Ski Ladies GP1, Ski Division GP1, Runabout GP1 and Freestyle categories took advantage of the final free practice session at the Regione Sardegna Grand Prix of Italy in Olbia on Sunday morning.

Only four girls took to the course during their morning’s practice session and Jasmiin Ypraus carded the fastest lap of 1min 38.543sec during a short stint of five laps. Championship leader Estelle Poret, Naomi Benini and Joana Graca also took advantage of extra time on the water.

Fifteen Ski Division GP1 riders tested on the course during their permitted session and Jeremy and Mickael Poret featured at the top of the timing board with best runs of 1min 38.469sec and 1min 40.727sec. Runaway series leader Quinten Bossche and closest rival Kevin Reiterer sat out the session.

Only four Runabout GP1 riders took advantage of their 20-minute session and Jeremy Perez and Gyorgy Kasza used the opportunity to get water time after a disappointing opening Moto on Saturday afternoon. Perez ran for three laps and topped the times with a 1min 33.413sec, while Andrzej Wisniewski and championship leader François Medori also ran two laps and one, respectively.
