UAE’S KHALIFA AL-MUTAIWEI OFFERS 150 TICKETS FOR
UAE NATIONAL TEAM FANS TO GO TO BAHRAIN FOR GULF CUP
DUBAI (UAE): Dubai’s rally star Khalifa Al-Mutaiwei, who won the 2012 FIA World Cup for Cross-Country Rallies as part of the Fazza Rally Team, has announced that he is providing 150 tickets for fans of the UAE national football team to go to the Kingdom of Bahrain to support the team in their Group A clash against Oman in the Gulf Cup of Nations today (Friday).
The match kicks off on Friday at 17.45hrs (Bahrain time) at the Khalifa Sports City Stadium, Isa Town, Bahrain, at the same time as the second Group A match between hosts Bahrain and Qatar.
“I am pleased to provide this number of tickets to fans of our national team,” enthused the 2004 and 2012 FIA World Cup champion. “It is the least I can do for my beloved country. There are a lot of fans who would like to encourage and support our team and this gesture enables them to travel to the stadium for the game in Bahrain.
“From my knowledge, the presence of UAE fans in the stadium will encourage our team and improve morale and will drive them to the best performance. Knowing that fans are normally regarded as the 12th player on the pitch, we wish our team success as they try to win the championship.”
